Penn State Brandywine Sustainable Garden
Penn State Brandywine Campus Garden, opened in 2014, is a 50-feet-by-50-feet fenced-in area with more than 20 raised beds. The Campus Garden is open to all students, staff and faculty!
Mission
The Penn State Brandywine Campus Garden:
- exposes students to gardening practices;
- addresses issues of food security;
- enables curriculum connections;
- creates community connections;
- and, develops campus food system connections.
Achievements
The Campus Garden has gained many achievements over the past eight years, including:
- Donating harvested foods to the Media Food Bank;
- Winning several awards in community garden competitions;
- Participating in Delaware County WWI remembrances.

Get Involved

Attention all Brandywine students! We’re looking for volunteers who want to learn about the campus garden and assist our garden coordinator with planting and harvesting — a relaxing, delicious, and healthy way to get involved on campus!
